Mission & Philosophy

Kripalvananda Yoga Institue, Inc. (KYI), is a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation established to preserve and maintain Muktidham, the personal residence of Swami Kripalvanada while he resided in the United States.  In addition to its core mission of preserving and maintaining Muktidham, KYI also seeks to promote the teachings of Swami Kripalvananda, to bring those teachings to a wider community, and to assist devotees in their practices.

Located in Sumneytown, Pennsylvania, Muktidham is now used as a gathering place for chanting, satsang, spiritual gathering, meditation and other devotional practices.  Yogic chanting takes place on the first Sunday of each month, as well as on special holidays.  KYI is an independent, not-for-profit organization, supported by friends of Muktidham and devotees of Swami Kripalvanda. It is not affiliated with any other person, firm or organization, in any way.
