  1. How I wish I lived closer, and could attend this Mahasamadhi celebration! I used to love the four-day commemorations at Kripalu in Lenox. Is there any way you could stream this event, or record it in any way, so that it would be available or view-able by someone like me, who lives in California??!!!

I met Yogi Amrit Desai in 1970 while I was going to Bryn Mawr College – I took my very first yoga classes with him when he taught in Germantown in Philadelphia… It made a huge impression on me, as did the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, our one assigned reading. I kind of reconnected with Amritji as Gurudev in 1987, but things had changed so very much by then… But I did feel like Bapuji took me under his wings then, in 1986 to guide me to Kripalu in Lenox and again in 1988 – and as though he still guides me, teaches me, inspires me. Even though I never met him when he was in his body… Around here (Los Angeles, California) there are a lot of people who feel that way about Paramahansa Yogananda.

I am glad to have found your organization and would love to hear (or read) more about anything you do – also about trips to Kayavarohan or elsewhere in India. Perhaps we have a lot in common, with Bapuji as our Ascended Master? (I hope we do!)

    1. Debra,
Hari is fairly low tech so we won’t be recording/streaming this event The KYI organization is planning a trip to sacred places in India in March 2018. There is a link on the home page that leads to details.
